Our school has so many things to celebrate!

Last Saturday, our High School JV girls won our very first State Championship  in basketball! These ladies have enjoyed an amazing season this year. They have practiced and played hard all season and the result is one to celebrate. We also want to congratulate Ellie Brewer for being named MVP in the championship game! It's been so much fun watching these ladies and I can hardly wait until next season!

We also have a special announcement from the music department! Benjamin Jones was selected to participate in the District 13 Honor Band held at Georgia Baptist Conference Center in Toccoa, Ga in February. To be selected, Ben had to audition with over 130 other trumpet players (mainly from Gwinnett County), memorizing 5 scales, performing a prepared song and playing a song he had never seen before. Based on his score, Ben earned 9th chair in the trumpet section.

During the weekend event, Ben was in one of two bands of over 100 students each representing over 25 middle schools. Each band was led by a University level conductor and they learned and performed 5 high school and college level songs over the two days of intense practice.

We're so proud of all of the time and practice that Ben put into preparing for the audition. His talent and hard work really paid off at the Honor Band event.

Lastly, we are very happy to announce SHCA has again been voted Best of Gwinnett for 2018! Thank you to everyone who voted for us; what an honor to be recognized!

It's a great day to be a Stallion!
